Requirements
Taking an online course requires specific equipment, some technical skills, and other soft skills. At a minimum, you will need:

- The ability to conduct research searches on the Internet.
- The ability to send and receive emails and email attachments in and out of class.

About The Instructor
Dr. Thomas G. Pittz is an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Management in the Lowth Entrepreneurship Center of the Sykes College of Business at the University of Tampa.
Prior to working in academia, Dr. Pittz worked in project management in the mortgage servicing division of Wells Fargo and later as an executive for two nonprofit organizations in the Twin City area. He is now an award-winning educator and researcher whose work broadly focuses on risk-sharing in R&D and new product development project contracts, relational advantage in interfirm relationships, the impact of strategic openness on innovation, and external knowledge acquisition and exploitation.
He has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles in outlets such as the International Journal of Project Management, the Journal of Business Ethics, Small Business Economics, and the Journal of Small Business Management, to name a few. He has also published two books with Emerald Publishing Group, Ltd, serves as an editor for three prestigious scholarly journals, and edits an annual volume focused on translating academic research for practitioner use. Additionally, he is the treasurer and director-at-large (and former Executive Director) for the United States Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE).
